Since 2014, Beatrix and her colleagues have been committed to running the Melki and Beatrix (MnB) Foundation, which focuses on education and social affairs in East Nusa Tenggara province. Out of their six work programs, some of the biggest achievements include establishing 7 reading houses in two districts in the province, graduating 20 students through the MnB Education program, and developing the MnB scholarship community with 80 active members. Beatrix’s biggest hope is that all children in East Nusa Tenggara and Indonesia can achieve their dreams with good education, and develop good social capital.

In pursuit of her dream to improve quality of life through education, Beatrix also completed a Master’s degree in accounting in 2019, at the Universitas Brawijaya-Malang, having been awarded the BPPDN-Affirmation scholarship. She believes these small steps can become a tangible motivation for children in her province to pursue the highest education, and that everyone can get education if they try their best and surround themselves with a good support system. To improve the quality and spirit of literacy in the young people in their province, the MnB foundation and several friends have launched a website (nadiinformasi.com) that showcases the ideas and aspirations of children in East Nusa Tenggara. This website is also a platform for these children to nurture their voices through writing.
