Sneha utilizes a background in engineering, policy analysis, and capacity building to help advocate for more climate resilient and equitable policies, organizations, and technologies. She conducts research and analysis around climate resilience, building decarbonization, and energy affordability issues in California and at the federal level. She leads Greenlining’s work in the clean energy technology field through strategic planning and implementation of the social equity strategy of the CalSEED program. This program gives seed funding to early-stage clean energy entrepreneurs in California. She is passionate about increasing access to opportunities for historically excluded communities to contribute to and benefit from the clean energy transition. She works with a variety of groups including entrepreneurs, governmental agencies, elected officials, community based groups, non-profit advocacy groups, and researchers to achieve these goals.

Sneha was previously a Senior Associate at Rocky Mountain Institute where she supported government agencies and advocates throughout the US in creating equitable energy efficiency and housing policies. She has previously held fellowships at the Tomkat Center for Sustainable Energy in California, Green Empowerment in Nicaragua, and the Natural Resources Defense Council in New York. She is grateful that she has had opportunities to learn from and work with caring and inspiring people on community projects within the US (in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex, the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, and Boulder), and internationally (in Nicaragua, India, Tanzania, China, and South Africa). She earned a B.S. and an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. She enjoys making and listening to music, learning from her loving family’s history and culture, and spending time at local animal shelters, libraries, and community gardens.
